By the end of this activity you will be able to: Recognise how to change between singular and plural when writing.
Singular means one. The girl sat on the chair. This is a singular sentence because there is only one girl and one chair.
Plural means two or more. The girls sat on the chairs. This is a plural sentence because there are two or more girls sitting on two or more chairs.
You need to be very careful when changing sentences into plural or singular. Look carefully at these examples and see if you can spot what else has changed:
Singular: The girl was playing with her friend.
Plural: The girls were playing with their friends.
Rewrite these sentences. Some may need changed to the singular and some may need changed to plural.
